All I can think about is “let’s treat mother” when I think about this day. Cake to have and enjoy after lunch….this year we have decided to resurrect an old favourite,layered vanilla and red velvet sponge sandwiched together with jam,cream and vanilla buttercream…finished with a semi naked effect and shortbread biscuits!
We will also have a little box of treats filled with our Sophie sponges and vienisse fingers or for those with less of a sweet tooth a savoury box with cheese straws,sausage rolls and cauliflower cheese pies….all boxed and bowed ready to take.
Our savoury fridge will be stocked full with an abundance of gorgeous meals and of course we will have lots and lots of cakes!!
So treat the most important woman in your life and get her something you just know she will like.
