I hope you got through January OK..It always seems such a marathon of a month with not much daylight or warmth…but February is upon us and with it a new bank holiday..Nice thought..
I would like to think I had a constructive few weeks with new products on the table..have you seen the cheesy garlic bread on a Saturday morning?
All the marmalade is made for this year…I plan on baking some orange upside down cake this weekend..
Im looking forward to early rhubarb from Ryan’s farm in Co Dublin…lots of pannacotta and galettes on the horizon.
In the savoury kitchen we are working on some new mains..chicken, sun dried tomatoes in orzo, baked aubergine layered in tomato sauce..Georgia wants us to make some sides..cauliflower cheese? toppings for baked potato?
Don’t worry I haven’t forgotten about “love” and February..the heart shaped tins are unwrapped and ready to go..
for now let’s slip into Springtime..
on the blackboard this month..
fish cakes with tartare sauce,
bean, chorizo and kale soup..
rhubarb and blackberry galette.
available Friday and Saturday..
thank you.. Emer
