It seems to have taken us forever...
…to get our heads around ‘a blog” – but here we are at last !!
Anyone who knows me knows that I love to chat about food…cake..and most of all Goyas…so you may have to be patient with me until I get used to the notion that I need to be brief but newsy !!
October rolls into Winter I always think and that makes me think about spicy things… .apples – we have them on ginger, soup with texture and attitude…pumpkin with roasted chickpeas…and the return of our cinnamon buns as a treat on a Saturday morning..or let’s not cook this Sunday..short ribs with buttery mash..mellow and dark.
As I’m getting older..did I just say that ???? I’m learning to accept the seasons for what they are – Autumn is a time to slow down a bit, rest a bit and enjoy what the harvest has given us — plenty of nice things to bake and cook with,
Emer.
This month, ‘on the blackboard’ (available in store..), we have:
Gingerbread with spiced apples…
Spiced pumpkin soup with roasted chickpeas..
cinnamon buns..Saturday only..
Short ribs with buttery mash..
